Facilitating Entrepreneurship in the Era of Reform: Discover Our Innovative Solutions

In a constantly evolving world, entrepreneurs face increasingly complex challenges. The upcoming reform of access to the profession in Belgium, scheduled for 2024, marks a crucial step in simplifying administrative procedures for entrepreneurs. In this context, our organization positions itself as a key partner, offering innovative solutions tailored to the needs of modern businesses.

The context of the reform and regional differences in Belgium regarding access to professions is quite nuanced.

In Flanders: Since 2018, Flanders has removed the diploma requirements for accessing certain professions. This decision was made to stimulate entrepreneurship and reduce barriers to starting businesses. It reflects a more liberal approach, where practical experience and skills are considered more important than formal qualifications for certain professions.

In Wallonia and Brussels: These regions maintain formal qualification requirements for a number of professions. This means that to practice certain professional activities, such as those related to construction, hairdressing, aesthetics, and other regulated trades, specific diplomas or certifications are required. This approach aims to ensure a certain level of competence and quality in these professions.

The reason for these regional differences is that, since the sixth state reform in Belgium, regions have gained the authority to determine the access conditions for certain professions. Each region can therefore adopt an approach that aligns with its own economic and social objectives.

These differences between regions can create a complex landscape for entrepreneurs who wish to operate in multiple regions or who move between them. It is important for entrepreneurs and businesses to understand these regional nuances to ensure compliance with local regulations and maximize their business opportunities in these different regions.
